Integrating scheduling materials from multiple athletic departments, the UCSD Sports Facilities website was re-designed to make it easier for students, staff and prospective clients to obtain important facility information. It was available publicly via the web, as well as through a handful of kiosk machines within the RIMAC arena.
To revamp the site both from a marketing perspective and one that involved ease of use, I hand-coded the XHTML and CSS templates to provide a more intuitive experience. The majority of users just wanted to obtain quick schedule or facility information before entering the gates. In a previous version that's no longer active, I also had a PHP-powered application parse through all inter-departmental schedules and create an aggregate public calendar of UCSD sports facilities events.
